The Full Story

Hey there, I'm Mimi! I'm 30 years old and a lifelong resident of Northern California. I'm a wife and a mother of two beautiful, brilliant kiddos! For years now I have been a stay at home mom- combine that with a two year long pandemic and that's what led to this career.

Okay, there's actually a little more to the story. I have been an avid reader since a young age (gifted kid burnout, anyone?) and began reading romance novels WAY too early! I'm talking sneaking Anita Blake novels into my high school classes and devouring them between Geometry and Spanish 2. But it wasn't until my senior year that I found my love for editing, not just reading. I joined my school paper and within the first two months was given two different sections to manage, edit and layout.

From there, I went on to college to study English in hopes of furthering my love for reading, writing and editing. I veered from the path for a few years to pursue Multimedia Design and ended up working at a startup Multimedia Marketing company where I was able to explore all my creative passions more deeply. But it wasn't until the pandemic that I came back to my deep seeded passion for reading absolutely filthy smut.

So how did I end up here? Thanks to COVID I delved deep into the world of fantasy romance, and got roped into joining multiple discord communities thanks to social media sites like Instagram and Tiktok. As a result of those budding communities I made deep and lasting friendships and personal connections. I followed indie authors, and started a podcast with one of my best friends (Kenzie), who is a PA to one of our favorite monster smut writers ever, Clio Evans. We read a little novella titled Muscles and Monsters by Ashley Bennett for our podcast and...after that it's history! Ashley and Clio both pushed me to follow my passions after being their ARC and Beta readers on various projects, and here I am! I completed classes through EFA in Copy Editing and Working with Indie Authors, and am currently working with both those amazing writers closely.
